Class Descriptions

SNOWPLOW SAM CLASSES (AGES 3-8)
This is the beginning of the journey for figure skating and hockey disciplines of skating. Learn how to properly fall down & get back up plus the various ways to move across the ice. Required items to
participate in class: skates, gloves and a helmet—bicycle or hockey (you won't be allowed on the ice without a helmet). For those born between 2015-2020. Classes are 30 minutes and costs $125 for an 8 week session (8 classes total).

  1. Snowplow Sam Basic 1-2: Beginners class for those that have never been on the ice and those new to skating but have some skating experience. Combines the curriculums of Basics 1 and 2 but designed for the younger skater. This class is offered on Sundays from 12:20-12:50 pm and Tuesdays from 4:45-5:15 pm. 
  2. Snowplow Sam Basic 2-3: Must pass Snowplow Sam  Basic 1-2 to enroll. Combines the curriculums of Basics 2 and 3 but designed for the younger skater. This class is offered on Sundays from 12:20-12:50 pm and Tuesdays from 4:45-5:15 pm. 

BASIC SKILLS CLASSES (AGES 9+)
This is the beginning of the journey for figure skating and hockey disciplines of skating. Learn how to properly fall down & get back up plus the various ways to move across the ice. Required items to participate in class: skates and gloves. A helmet is required for the Basic 1-2 class—bicycle or hockey (you won't be allowed on the ice without a helmet). Classes are 30 minutes and costs $125 for an 8 week session (8 classes total).

  1. Basic 1-2: Beginners that have never been on the ice and those new to skating but have some skating experience. Combines the curriculums of Basic 1 and Basic 2. This class is offered on Sundays from 12:50-1:20 pm and Tuesdays from 5:15-5:45 pm. 
  2. Basic 2-3: Must pass Basic 1-2 to enroll. Combines the curriculums of Basic 2 and Basic 3. This class is offered on Sundays from 12:50-1:20 pm and Tuesdays from 5:15-5:45 pm. 
  3. Basics 1-6 for Adults (ages 18+): Combines the curriculums of Basics 1-6 and is for both figure skaters and hockey players. All hockey players will start here. After passing Basic 3, hockey players can join the Hockey Warriors Edge class or can stay in this class. Learn at your own pace. This class is offered on Sundays from 12:50-1:20 pm.

WARRIORS EDGE CLASSES
Continue on the journey with these classes for the more advanced figure skating and hockey disciplines. Learn at your own pace & MUST pass Snowplow Sam Basic 2-3 or Basic 2-3 to enroll.

FIGURE SKATING WARRIORS EDGE CLASSES are required to wear skates and gloves to participate in class. The Basics 4-6 class is 30 minutes and costs $125 for an 8 week session (8 classes total). The FreeSkate Pre-6 class is 1 hour and costs $150 for an 8 week session (8 classes total).

  1. Figure Skating Warriors Edge Basic 4-6: Combines Basics 4-6 curriculums. This class has 2 age sections. For ages 3-8 and for ages 9+. This class is offered on Sundays from12:20-12:50 pm (ages 3-17) and Tuesdays from 4:45-5:15 pm (ages 3-8) & 5:15-5:45 pm (ages 9+). 
  2. Figure Skating Warriors Edge FreeSkate: Must pass Basic 4-6 class to enroll. Combines FreeSkate Pre-6 curriculums. This class is offered on Tuesdays from 4:45-5:45 pm.

HOCKEY WARRIORS EDGE CLASSES combines Hockey 3-4 & power curriculums. Drills with sticks and foam pucks will also be introduced. Skating skills learned in class will be used in the drills. Required items to participate in class: full hockey gear and a stick. Class is 30 minutes and costs $125 for an 8 week session (8 classes total).

  1. Hockey Warriors Edge Mini Mites (ages 3-8): This class is offered on Sundays from 12:20-12:50 pm.
  2. Hockey Warriors Edge (ages 9+): This class is offered on Sundays from 12:50-1:20 pm.

Registration Steps

  1. Get an individual Learn to Skate USA membership for each participant (annual membership and is valid July 1-June 30). Register at: https://www.learntoskateusa.com/registration (separate website from Learn to Skate). See Learn to Skate USA Individual Membership Information below.
  2. Complete the online registration for an Ice Warriors Skating Academy Learn to Skate class, clinic or exhibition. All registration fees are non refundable.
  • Make sure to have the skater's individual LTS membership number available during registration. All LTS memberships are verified by our skating academy. Skater's will not be allowed to participate in class, the clinic or the exhibition with an invalid or expired LTS membership.
  • Class registration is done on a secure site that allows you to complete  contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment (please have your Visa or MasterCard information available). Please read through each page carefully & double check to ensure that all the information is accurate.
  • You can only register 1 skater at a time.

Learn to Skate USA Individual Membership Information

Get an individual Learn to Skate USA membership for each participant (this is an annual membership and is valid July 1-June 30, and you can register at: https://www.learntoskateusa.com/registration).

  • The number is needed for the online class registration (on a separate website from Learn to Skate).
  • All LTS memberships are verified by our skating academy. Skater's will not be allowed to participate in classes, clinics, or exhibitions  with an invalid or expired LTS membership.
